About The Event

Saints, on Lord's Day, November 13th, we would like to schedule an informal picnic at the Studdard Picnic Area at  Stone Mountain Park, at 1:00pm in the afternoon.

This picnic area at Stone Mountain is quite large and has over 80 picnic tables and quite a few grilling stations.  It should be fairly easy for us to gather together for lunch and fellowship.

Below are some details, please click "Read More" to view.

Friends:

You might consider inviting a friend or neighbor to come; often the best way to introduce someone to the church is on a non-meeting setting.  Feel free to invite others!

Entrance Fee:

Unfortunately, Stone Mountain Park charges a $20 entrance fee, per vehicle, to enter the park.  You can buy an annual entrance pass for $40, and since we may explore using the park this way a few times in the next year, it might be worth buying an annual pass.  If you are interested in an annual pass you can put your information on this form by Monday night and we will try to get a reduced rate on them.

Directions:

Click on this link for directions to the picnic area.

Parking:

There is a lot of parking at the picnic area. Once you are inside the park, you don't have to pay anything additional for parking.

Food and Drink:

This is a very important detail.  This picnic is a bring-your-own-food-and-drink kind of gathering. We won't supply any kind of organization around drinks, water, or who brings what food.  Generally, a family would bring enough for their own lunch, and since we will all be close together, we could share with one another.  Of course if groups of saints coordinate among themselves to split up responsibility for drinks or grilling, sides, etc. that works too!   The main goal is to be together, so you could just pick up a bucket of fried chicken on the way or do something equally simple.

RSVP:

This is not necessary to do, but it can help us know where we should gather if we have a rough idea of how many are coming, so if you intend to come, please fill out this form.
