The Church in Atlanta Phone List App
We are excited to announce a new Phone List App for the church in Atlanta. The information on this page will help you:
-
Request an account for the church in Atlanta phone list app, and also
-
Explain how to get the app on your phone once your account is approved.
Also included on this page is a basic orientation to the functionality of the app. This orientation will make special mention of how the account holders have complete control at all times over their own personal information published on the app—if at any point a saint wishes to remove some or all of the published information, it could easily be done within the account.
PLEASE NOTE: To protect the privacy of the saints, all accounts are manually approved by the service office. Due to this security measure, please understand that it could take at least 1–2 days for you to get full access to the app, depending on the volume of requests the service office receives.
Steps to Get the App
Step 1—Request an account using this form.
Step 2—Look for an approval email for more instructions.
Within about 1–2 days of receiving your request for an account, the service office will issue an approval and send you an email with further instructions on how to complete the registration process. This message will be sent to the email address with which you registered your account and will come from noreply+automations@airtableemail.com. Please check your spam/junk folder first if you don't receive it. If you still cannot find the approval email, feel free to reach out to the service office at the email address mentioned above, and one of the serving saints will be able to help you.
Step 3—While you are waiting for approval, watch the video below for a brief orientation to the phone list app's functionality.
Step 4—Install the app onto your phone.
The app cannot be accessed from the Apple App store or Android Google Play Store. Instead, to install the app on your device, follow these instructions:
-
Navigate to bit.ly/ciatlphonelist.
-
Make sure to open the page on the device on which you wish to install the app. For iOS devices, make sure to open it in Safari.
-
Save the app/webpage to your home screen. This will ensure that you don't have to open a browser and type in the URL every time you wish to access the phone list. If you don't know how to add a bookmark to your phone's home screen, reference the videos below:
Android
iPhone
Step 5—Sign in.
Open the app that you just saved to your home screen. The icon should look like this:
-
If you registered your account with a Gmail address, you may use the Google single sign-on (SSO) button to authenticate your account. Once you complete this process the first time, you will not have to do it again.
-
If you did not register your account with a Gmail address or simply don't want to use Google SSO,
-
Enter the email address with which you registered your account. Click "Continue."
-
Check your email inbox for a five-digit pin that was sent to you. It may go to your spam or junk folder. Enter this pin to complete the login process.
-
NOTE: If you use this method of account verification and log out of the phone list app (not simply close it, but click "Sign Out"), you will need to request a pin every time you wish to log into the app—there is no permanent password associated with your account. HOWEVER, as long as you don't log out of the app, it should remember your device each time you open it so that you don't have to repeat the login process.
